Custom recreational rigid inflatable
Custom designed and built for an experienced boat owner, this privately owned rigid inflatable boat (RIB) utilises an offshore-capable Southerly Designs hullform based on that used by Dongara Marine for its sea search and rescue vessels.
Reflecting its use for a range of leisure / recreational activities, the boat features forward and aft lounging spaces; a centre console for helm and navigation; and large aft swim platform accessed through centreline doors and fitted with a swim shower and retractable dive ladder.
Twin suspension seats are fitted at the console, with the skipper and navigator sheltered by a fixed, composite bimini and a full height wraparound windscreen including sliding side screens.
The console provides a significant amount of storage volume, with additional spaced within the fixed seating for ice boxes.
The 10.5 metre long, 3.4 metre wide aluminium hull is fitted with a Cummins QSB6.7 diesel driving a HamiltonJet HTX30 waterjet via a ZF 286 gearbox. Maximum speed is approximately 35 knots.
West RIBs custom manufactured and supplied the 550mm diameter D-shaped foam filled collar.
